      INCD GeoEcoMar

      The National Institute of Marine Geology and Geo-ecology, GeoEcoMar, is a governmental research-development institution, coordinated by the Ministry of Education and Research.

       

      Its scientific departments are: “Geology and Geochemistry”, “Sedimentologic and Mineralogic Analyses”, “Marine Geology and Sedimentology”, “Seismo-acoustics, Digital Cartography, GIS and Databases” and Geophysical Methods for Deep Investigations”.

       

      The main scientific activity of the GeoEcoMar is directed at geo-ecological studies of the macrogeosystem River Danube – Danube Delta – Coastal Zone – Black Sea, geological and geophysical survey of the Black Sea (mainly of the Romanian continental shelf), land-sea interactions in the Coastal Zone and its integrated management as well as studies, technical assistance and consulting for littoral and offshore marine engineering, industrial and environmental impact studies.

       

      In recent years the Institute has started studies and analysis connected with the greenhouse emissions in Romania as well as the possibility of geological storage of CO2.

      NHM EcoInvest

      NHN ECOINVEST SRL is a Romanian private company founded in 1993. Its main field of activity is represented by the environmental protection.

      Petrom

      S.C.       Geogreen

      Arcelor Mittal

      Advanced Studies and Research Center

      ASRC is a Romanian small enterprise that was founded in 2007 and is involved in developing new technologies in Geoinformatics and Bioinformatics. ASRC employs scientists and engineers with competencies in technical research and development. Its clients, ranging from private companies to government agencies, are provided with tailor-made solutions that meet their specific needs.

       

      By using the Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (InSAR) and Persistent Scatterers Interferometry (PSI) techniques based on the Spaceborne Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) technology, ASRC can provide monitoring solutions for: infrastructure development, oil and gas extraction, mining, natural hazards, insurance and environment in general.

       

      Regarding the environment, ASRC can provide monitoring solutions for surface deformation related to ground water pressure, geohazards (landslides), global warming effects and CO2 geological storage.

       

      The advantages of using InSAR to monitor geological CO2 storage zones are:

       

      • wide coverage (tens of kilometers) area around the injection site;
      • gas leaks detection on large distances away from the injection site;
      • continuous, monthly or even weekly coverage surveillance for very long time periods;
      • considerably lower costs than seismic tomography and no logistic (fieldwork) involved.

      National Research and Development Institute for Gas Turbines

      Established in 1985 as the Scientific Research and Engineering Center for Aircraft Engines, within the former INCREST, COMOTI becomes the “National Research and Development Institute for Gas Turbines, "COMOTI", as a result of its assessment and certification.

       

      The National Research – Development Institute is the only specialized company that integrates such activities as scientific research, design, manufacturing, testing, experimental activities, technologic transfer and innovation in the field of aircraft and industrial gas turbines and high speed bladed machinery.

       

      Its scientifics departments are:

       

      • Research and development for assemblies turboengines and aerospace propulsion components direction;
      • Research and development for assemblies turboengines and environment direction;
      • Technological Research direction;
      • Marketing, Sales and Investments direction.

       

      Main areas of activity:

       

      • aircraft turbo-engines - National Programs since 2000 to the present, by means of contracted activities in the INVENT, RELANSIN, MENER, AEROSPATIAL, MATNANTECH, NUCLEU Programs; International cooperation and technical and scientific cooperation with famous European companies, such as: SNECMA, ROLLS – ROYCE, TURBOMECA, etc – within the frame Program (PC)V as well SILENCE(R) – 2001, METHOD 2001, Jean 2001, ABRANEW – 2003 and Frame Program (PC)V, CoJeN – 2003, VITAL – 2004, dealing with the most advanced research applied to aeronautics;
      • highly efficient generation of electric and thermal power, by the implementation of the first co – generation power plants in the country (for example the plants located in SC TERMICA SA – BOTOSANI and SNP PETROM – Suplacu de Barcau). They are opening the perspective of supplying the consumers with thermal power at much lower cost than at present;
      • rational and efficient exploitation of the natural resources, such as oil and gas, by using special equipment – turbo compressors and electrical compressors necessary to the compression, pumping stations belonging to SNP PETROM and Distrigaz, such as: SP TICLENI, SP VINTU, SP TURBUREA, SP SUPLACU DE BARCAU. Before COMOTI’s equipment was available, such special units were imported. By developing a partnership with GHH Rand, COMOTI deliver on oil and gas market electrocompressor screw in a wide range of pressures and flow rates. For its products, COMOTI, provides technical assistance to commissioning, spare parts, etc.

      International recognition of professional and institutional competitiveness in the field of gas turbine engines and high speed machines palette materialized by obtaining a total of 25 medals and diplomas at international exhibitions of inventions in Geneva and Brussels and Institute participation in six large scale European projects in the program PC V and two bilateral cooperation projects with companies General Electric - USA, that Nuovo Pignone - Italy.

      National Research And Development Institute for Oilfield Equipment – IPCUP Ploiesti

      National Research and Development Institute for Oilfield Equipment was established in 1954 as a demand of national economy to develop its own oilfield equipment manufacturing industry, justified by the existence of large oil deposits and the steady tradition in oil and gas industry.

      National Research and Development Institute for Oilfield Equipment – IPCUP PLOIEŞTI is a specialized firm coordinated by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and the Business Environment, whose main target is to perform fundamental and experimental research, involving technologies development, issue of technical and economical regulations as well as provision of technical supplies for oil & gas equipment and industrial gaskets.

       

      National Research and Development Institute for Oilfield Equipment – IPCUP Ploiesti performs:

      • Fundamental research in developing machine construction mechanics as well as drilling and production equipment engineering;
      • Experimental research in order to help manufacture of products capable to promote new techniques and technologies in the domain of drilling & production activities with a view to development and improvement of appropriate techniques and equipment;
      • Research and design of equipment in conformity with state of art technologies used in controlled and horizontal drilling operations;
      • Use of ecological systems and equipment;
      • Design of mechanical and automatic devices used in tubular goods handling operations;
      • Design of drilling and operation equipment in conformity with the international standards API, ISO, CEN;
      • Research and design of specific equipment used in geological survey operations for useful minerals;
      • Engineering of metal structures for offshore drilling and production activities;
      • Design of specialized equipment for exploitation of oil & gas deposits under natural obstacles;
      • Non-destructive and destructive tests for components materials and equipments going into use/service;

      • Elaboration of strategies and prognosis regarding strategically program in order to develop energetic resources from Romania;

      • Design of new technologies for petrochemical, energetic, offshore and nuclear equipment using domestic safety valves;
